The Club Volkssport Gateway Walkers
invites walking enthusiasts to the
2009 CVF Convention, May 22-24, in North Bay, Ontario.
Come discover Ontario’s Gateway to the North with some of the country’s most stunning scenery as well as the watersheds of the Blue Sky Region.

North Bay, a popular year round destination is located on the north-east shore of Lake Nipissing at about a four hour drive from Toronto and Ottawa. This friendly and inviting community is renowned for its spectacular sunsets and as an historical crossroads of Voyageurs’ routes. During the 2009 Convention, you will walk in The Footsteps of the Voyageurs, theme of the convention. Some trails were first used by First Nations, followed by the explorers as they travelled from the Ottawa River system towards the Great Lakes via magnificent Lake Nipissing.
The convention meetings and reception will take place at Nipissing University in North Bay. The campus built on 643 hectares of the north escarpment offers panoramic vistas of the city and Lake Nipissing.
